The 22 AWG conductor size is primarily intended for use with RGBW LED connectors, as many compact connectors do not accept larger cable cross-sections. For this reason, it is mainly recommended for short connector links only, and users should always check the connector specifications before use.
When used to extend or directly power RGBW LED strips, higher current draw and increased voltage drop must be considered. In such cases, a larger cable cross-section may be more appropriate. Hi-Line offers alternative flat ribbon cables with higher conductor sizes, such as 20 AWG or above, which are better suited for longer runs or higher-power RGBW LED strips.
This is a flat 5-core ribbon cable designed for RGBW LED strips. The flat construction keeps all conductors neatly aligned, making it convenient for soldering custom tails directly onto RGBW LED tape, particularly for short, tidy connections.
Cable specification: 22 AWG (approx. 0.35 mm² per conductor).
Supplied as a 10-metre roll.
Please always calculate voltage drop before use. Due to the smaller conductor size, this cable is not suitable for long runs or high-load applications.
