The HL-R1616C-10M is a flexible silicone recessed LED strip diffuser designed to create a clean, continuous line of light while remaining discreet when the LEDs are switched off. The white top surface blends naturally with light-coloured materials and provides smooth light diffusion when illuminated.
This product is supplied as a continuous 10 metre roll, allowing installers to cut the exact length required during installation. The silicone body presses directly into a routed groove, creating a flush architectural lighting effect suitable for furniture, cabinetry, wall grooves, shelving, and modern interior detailing.
Unlike rigid aluminium LED profiles, the silicone construction allows the cover to follow gentle curves and routed shapes, making it ideal for installations where straight profiles cannot be used.
Flexible 3D Design
The silicone material provides gentle three-dimensional flexibility, allowing the cover to follow gradual curves and shapes both horizontally and vertically. This makes it suitable for creative routed lighting designs in furniture or architectural surfaces.
The product is designed for smooth gradual bends, but it is not intended for tight radiuses or sudden sharp turns.
Installation Method
A groove is first routed into the installation surface, typically 16mm wide and approximately 16mm deep.
The LED strip is placed at the bottom of the routed channel, attached directly to the surface as normal.
The silicone diffuser cover is then pressed into the groove above the LED strip, where the side fins grip the channel walls and hold the cover securely in place.
Important:
The LED strip sits underneath the silicone cover, not inside it. The cover acts as a recessed diffuser placed above the strip to produce a smooth linear lighting effect.
Because the internal space above the LED strip is limited, this product works best with standard low-profile LED strips.
Compatible strip types typically include:
IP00 LED strips
IP20 LED strips
Hi-Line NPU nano waterproof LED strips
Thicker encapsulated or high-profile LED strips may not fit due to the small internal clearance.
