RT7 — 4-zone colour-temperature remote, black
This is a battery handheld remote, not a dimmer and not a mains switch. The handset we stock is black. Use it where one remote should run up to four rooms, or four groups, of warm-white and cool-white tape.
The touch wheel sets the colour temperature of the zone you have selected. Keys 1 to 4 select a zone: a short press turns that zone on and selects it, a press of about 2 seconds turns that zone off. Press two zone keys quickly if you want them to move together. Brightness steps through ten levels, or runs smoothly while the key is held. WW and CW jump straight to warm white or cool white. Scene keys S1 to S4 recall a saved look. Hold a scene key for about 2 seconds to store what the zone is doing now. The indicator shows green when the scene is stored.
Which controllers it works with
Pair it with a Hi-Line 2.4 GHz receiver made for tunable white. On a 3-wire strip that is V2-L. On a 2-wire CCT strip that is V2-S. The 5-in-1 controllers V5-L(WT), V5-L(WZ), WT5 and WZ5 also accept this remote when they are running a colour-temperature load. T12 is the matching 4-zone wall panel for the same system.
It does not dim a single-colour strip, and it does not run RGB or pixel tape. For single-colour dimming, use RT6. The slim card remote for this same colour-temperature system is R7 (four zones) or R7-1 (one zone). Matching receivers and those remotes are under Related Products below.
Matching
On the receiver, give the Match key a short press, then immediately press the zone key you want to use. The lamp blinks three times when the pair is stored. One receiver can hold up to ten remotes. One zone key can run as many receivers as you pair to it. To clear every remote from a receiver, hold its Match key for 5 seconds until the lamp blinks five times.
