5m Roll Pixel LED Strip 12V RGBW 84LEDs/m 28 Pixels/m Black PCB IP00
5m roll pixel addressable RGBW LED strip, 12V, 84 LEDs/m, 28 pixels/m, black PCB, cuttable every 3.5cm. Uses SK2814 external ICs for 4-channel independent control (RGBW). Supplied with connectors and power injection wires.
This is a specialised pixel addressable RGBW LED strip designed for advanced effects such as chases, gradients, and animations. It is not a typical RGBW strip but a high-performance solution for creative lighting projects.
The strip uses SK2814 external ICs mounted on the PCB. Each IC controls one pixel consisting of 3 LEDs (RGBW), providing 28 pixels per metre and a total of 420 LEDs across the 5m roll. Functionally, it works in the same way as SK6812 pixel strips, but with the control chip positioned externally rather than inside the LED. This design still allows 4-channel independent control with a dedicated warm white channel.
When used with DMX512 control, each pixel requires 4 DMX channels (R, G, B, W). The strip can be cut every 3.5cm (one pixel section), offering flexibility for customised installations.
Each roll is supplied with pre-soldered 3-pin connectors at both ends for signal and power, together with additional injection wires at both ends to simplify power reinforcement in longer runs. The PCB is black, 12mm wide, and rated IP00 (non-waterproof), making it suitable for dry, indoor applications.
Please note that the price is for the LED strip only. A compatible pixel controller and suitable 12V power supply are required and available separately. Installation of pixel addressable strips should be carried out by experienced installers familiar with data-signal wiring and addressing.
12V vs 24V Versions
This listing is for the 12V version, offering 28 pixels per metre with 3 LEDs per pixel. We also supply a 24V version in a separate listing. The 24V model combines two groups of 3 LEDs into one pixel, giving 14 pixels per metre with cut points every 8.25cm. Both versions use SK2814 ICs, but pixel density differs due to voltage architecture. Choose the 12V strip for finer pixel resolution, or the 24V strip if your system is built around 24V infrastructure.

Simpler Installations – RF Remote Option
If DMX512 control is not required, the installation can be greatly simplified by using RF wireless control. The HL-DS-L controller supports RF control, allowing a quick and straightforward setup without any DMX programming. Alternatively, the HL-WT-SPI controller can be even easier to configure, as it requires no DMX setup and works with the Tuya app for convenient configuration from a smartphone.
Both controllers can be paired with the HL-R9 handheld remote, providing immediate access to pre-programmed effects, brightness control, and speed adjustments without any DMX knowledge.
Important Note – Follow the Direction Arrows
When connecting SPI LED strips, always make sure the arrow printed on the strip points away from the controller. The arrow indicates the data flow direction, and if it is reversed, the strip will not operate correctly. Ensure the wiring and the arrow direction match the controller’s data output to guarantee proper performance.
