HL-COB-SIDE-480CW-IP00-24V — 8 mm side-glow COB, 6000K cool white, 5 m
Same tape as the 3000K listing, different colour. Light leaves through the thin edge, not the face, so you get a continuous neon line instead of a row of dots. Use it where a normal top-view strip would sit in the wrong plane: shelf lips, alcove returns, glass edges, letters, slim aluminium profiles that only show the edge.
The 3000K warm-white roll is sold on its own page (HL-COB-SIDE-480WW-IP00-24V). Open Related products for that sibling, a 24 V driver and a single-colour dimmer / remote. Do not treat the two CCTs as one SKU — they are two stock items with two barcodes.
Buy this when
- You want a cool, daylight-white edge line (kitchens, retail, task, display).
- The mounting plane only shows the 8 mm edge.
- You can run 24 V constant-voltage and keep the strip indoor and dry (IP00).
Electrical and mechanical
- 24 V DC constant voltage, PWM-dimmable
- 480 COB chips per metre, CRI >90, about 1000 lm/m, ~100 lm/W
- Listed 10 W/m for driver sizing — leave ~20% headroom (a 5 m run ≈ 50 W, so a 60 W 24 V driver is the sensible minimum; 100 W if you may add length later)
- Cut every 33.3 mm at the marked pads (+24 V / −)
- PCB / lit edge 8 mm, 5 m roll, 3M 300LSE backing
- IP00 indoor only. 3 SDCM
Feed both ends on a long run if you can. Do not series-connect extra 5 m rolls onto one feed. Solder or use a matching 8 mm 2-pin clip on the cut pads. Stick to clean, dry, degreased surfaces — 3M will not hold on dusty silicone or powder coat.
How to dim it
Use a Hi-Line 24 V single-colour PWM dimmer or RF controller (for example HL-V1-L) after a non-dimmable 24 V driver. Pair HL-R6 or HL-R6-1 if you want a handheld remote. Do not put this tape on a mains triac dimmer.
