The 24V Cut Anywhere Free-Cut COB LED Strip 4000K is a high-density professional lighting solution featuring 528 LEDs per metre. Thanks to advanced Chip-on-Board technology, it produces a completely seamless, dot-free continuous light line that can be cut at any point along the reel.

Wattage. 11.5 W per metre is the most this strip can draw. We measure a short length at a full 24 V, before any voltage drop, and that is the figure for the driver and the cable. At 24 V it is 0.48 A per metre. A full reel, power from one end only, or cable that is too thin will draw less than 11.5 W per metre, and the far end will be dimmer. It will not draw more than this. Watts are not a brightness ranking between different strips: a high-efficiency strip can give more light from fewer watts. This COB is a standard-efficiency strip, so against another standard COB of the same type the higher wattage is the brighter one.
A full reel of this strip measures below 11.5 W per metre. The figure on the listing is the short-length maximum. How we state watts per metre.
This cut-anywhere COB strip offers maximum flexibility for installers and DIY enthusiasts. The neutral 4000K light is bright yet comfortable, making it ideal for kitchens, under-cabinet lighting, offices, retail displays, furniture integration, and architectural features.

Matching 8 mm connectors (2-pin, single colour)
This strip is 8 mm wide and 2-wire / single colour. Use only the 8 mm COB connectors in the Related Products tab — not 10 mm or RGB parts.
- Strip to power: join the strip to a cable. Pre-wired 15 cm tail HL-COB8-SP-IP00, screw-to-wire HL-SMDCOBT2-SW-8MM, or universal kit HL-COB-CON-UNI-8 (also useful for mid-run power injection).
- Strip to strip (straight): join two cut ends. Seamless joint HL-COB8-SS-IP00, or screw join HL-COBSMD-A8-IP00.
- Strip to strip with a short cable: 150 mm bridge HL-COB8-SSW-IP00.
- Corners: L-shape clip HL-COB8-L2-IP00, or L/T screw block HL-LT2-COB8-IP00.
These connectors are indoor (IP00/IP20), same as this IP20 strip. Open Related Products to add them to the basket.
Important Installation Note for 20m Rolls This 20m reel is designed for convenience and easy cutting. Do not power the full 20m from one end only – voltage drop can cause overheating and damage the strip.
Always supply power from both ends for any run longer than 10 metres. For best results on longer runs we also recommend a mid-point injection. Continuous copper allows connection anywhere along the strip.
Use connector HL-COB-CON-UNI-8 for power injection points. For higher current loads, solder the wires directly onto the copper.
Examples:
12m length: Cut at 12m and feed power from both sides.
Full 20m: Power from both ends + at least one mid-point injection to keep brightness even and prevent overheating.
