Why you may need this
The WT-DMX-S is designed for projects where you want the convenience of wireless control but still need the reliability of DMX. A standard RF controller is enough if you only want local remote control, and a DMX console is enough if you only want traditional DMX control. The WT-DMX-S is different. It lets you use the Tuya Smart app, Alexa, Google Assistant, or Hi-Line 2.4GHz RF remotes and wall panels, while outputting a DMX512 signal to your decoders. This makes it the bridge between smart home wireless control and professional DMX hardware.
Important to know
The WT-DMX-S always begins its DMX output from channel 1. The number of channels depends on the lighting mode you select. DIM uses 1 channel, CCT uses 2, RGB uses 3, RGBW uses 4, and RGB+CCT uses 5. In 16-bit mode the channel count doubles, for example RGBW uses 1–8. The start address cannot be changed. This means the controller is best suited for synchronised control of DMX decoders rather than projects where each fixture requires its own DMX address. DMX master and DMX512 decoders must be powered separately.

This controller supports five lighting modes including DIM, CCT (tunable white), RGB, RGBW and RGB+CCT, giving flexibility across different strip types. It can be operated through the Tuya Smart app, via compatible RF remotes, or through voice assistants such as Alexa and Google Assistant. Two external push switches may also be connected for manual control of on/off, brightness and scene recall.
The WT-DMX-S works with other Hi-Line RF devices operating on 2.4GHz, allowing you to expand or combine control options within the same system. Optional RF remotes and wall panels extend control up to 30 metres in open space. Scene creation, music synchronisation and timers can also be managed through the Tuya app, providing a customisable wireless experience that integrates easily into smart home systems.
The WT-DMX-S is often chosen for home automation projects requiring simple wireless integration, for commercial spaces where synchronised LED strip control is needed, and for architectural installations where multiple DMX decoders must remain in step across larger areas.

The WT-DMX-S can be paired with a range of RF remotes and wall touch panels available under the Related Products tab. These provide remote brightness, colour and scene adjustments with up to 30m range.
WiFi connection requires a 2.4GHz band as 5GHz is not supported. If you use the Tuya Smart app or voice assistants such as Alexa or Google, the WT-DMX-S should be positioned close to the WiFi router to ensure a stable signal. If you use only Hi-Line RF remotes or wall panels, WiFi proximity is not required, as these pair directly with the controller over 2.4GHz RF with a range of up to 30 metres in open space.
