This 400W constant voltage LED driver is a high-efficiency solution designed for demanding 24V LED installations. Built using modern switch-mode technology, it offers compact dimensions, reduced weight and excellent energy performance. The unit delivers a stable 24V DC output at 16.7A and is IP67 rated, making it suitable for both indoor and outdoor use.
It is ideal for powering LED strips with a total power consumption of up to 400W. Although this is a non-dimmable model, full brightness control is still possible when used with a compatible LED controller (sold separately). This allows flexible use with single colour, RGB and RGBW LED strip types.
Dimming and System Integration
This driver is frequently used in dimmable installations by combining it with the appropriate controller. For example, the HL-V1-T controller supports up to 20A and enables dimming for high-power single colour LED zones. Inrush Current Consideration
This power supply generates a high inrush current at switch-on, typically between 95A and 130A, depending on installation layout and mains conditions. Cold starts may result in even higher surges. This is a normal characteristic of high-power switch-mode drivers and should be accounted for in the electrical design. In multi-driver installations or where MCB protection is sensitive, we recommend staggered startup using sequenced switching or fitting a surge current limiter such as model HL-S1-SX to prevent tripping and protect connected devices.

Installation Notes
This driver includes two pre-wired DC output tails in parallel. The total LED load must not exceed 400W. If only one output is used, the unused tail must be safely insulated. A 20 percent power margin is recommended above the actual LED load to ensure long-term reliability. For RGB and RGBW strips, use a compatible multi-channel controller.
