This product is a specialised installation version of our COB IP68 LED strip, designed for professional installers, furniture manufacturers, and trade applications where mechanical fixing is preferred over adhesive mounting.
Unlike the standard version (Reference HL-COB528WW3K-R90-IP68), this model is supplied without rear adhesive tape. Instead, it is intended to be installed using mounting clips, providing a clean, secure, and long-term fixing method.
Each 5 metre roll is supplied with fixing clips, allowing the strip to be securely mounted along the installation path. Typical installations use approximately 2 clips per metre, depending on the surface and application.

This product uses Hi-Line Premium COB LED technology, designed to deliver higher brightness and improved efficiency compared to standard COB strips.
Although many COB strips specify 528 LEDs per metre, actual performance depends on chip quality and internal construction. Hi-Line uses selected high-grade components, resulting in strong light output at 15W per metre.

Premium version at 10W per metre using the same high-quality chips with reduced output
Value Series version (528 LEDs/m, 10W/m), offering a more economical solution with different internal components

Alternative Versions and Installation Flexibility
The same COB LED strip is also available with adhesive backing in both 5 metre and 10 metre rolls.
Both versions provide identical lighting performance, with the only difference being the installation method.

Suitability for Sauna and High-Humidity Environments
This LED strip features a fully encapsulated IP68 silicone construction, making it suitable for high-humidity environments such as bathrooms, wet areas, and certain sauna or steam room installations.
The encapsulation provides strong protection against moisture and allows the strip to operate reliably when installed correctly.
However, sauna environments can vary significantly in temperature and operating conditions. For best results:
The strip should be installed outside direct extreme heat zones
Adequate heat management and positioning should be considered
Installation must be carried out by a qualified professional
In many real-world applications, this type of IP68 strip has been successfully used in sauna environments when installed correctly, delivering stable long-term performance.
Due to variations in installation conditions, warranty coverage may be limited in high-temperature applications.

Typical installations use approximately 2 fixing clips per metre, although this may vary depending on the mounting surface and layout.
For runs exceeding 5 metres, it is recommended to power both ends in parallel to reduce voltage drop and maintain consistent brightness.
Pre-soldered tails or parallel cable feeds should be considered for longer runs.
