The DA-PS feeds one DALI bus. It is a mains-powered SELV supply with a 16 V DC output, limited to 200 mA. Control gear and input devices on that bus take their bus current from it. It does not dim, it does not switch a lamp, and it does not extend the bus beyond one segment.
Ratings
- Input 100–240 V AC, 50/60 Hz, input current 0.1 A. Terminals L and N.
- Output 16 V DC, maximum 200 mA. Terminals DA+ and DA−. The label marks the polarity. Observe it.
- The manual allows up to 100 control gear or control devices on this current, which is the 2 mA-per-device figure. A device that draws more uses more of the 200 mA. The DA-ER ceiling sensor draws 8 mA, so it counts as four of those 2 mA shares.
- One bus, one supply. Do not parallel this unit with another bus supply, including the 150 mA supply inside HL-DA-ML(WT).
Cable and protection
The manual limits one bus to 300 m, or to a voltage drop of 2 V, using 2 × 1.5 mm². Terminal range 0.5 to 2.0 mm². Strip length 6 to 7 mm.
Short-circuit protection switches the output off and the indicator goes out. When the short is cleared, the output returns and the indicator stays on. Do not connect the mains while the unit is being wired. Indoor use only. Do not expose it to moisture.
Housing
- Body on the drawing: 56 mm long, 38.5 mm wide and 18 mm high, with 5 mm mounting ears. The ears snap off along the notch.
- Carton size on the sheet: 60 × 60 × 40 mm. Weight 0.041 kg.
- IP20. Ambient −20 °C to +55 °C. Maximum case temperature 68 °C.
Standards and warranty
The manual lists EN 61347-1, EN 61347-2, EN IEC 55015, EN IEC 61547 and ETSI EN 301 489-1/-3, and marks the unit SELV, CE and RoHS. The supply has no radio transmitter. Warranty 5 years. This is the 200 mA mini supply. It is not the 250 mA DIN or boxed supply, and it is not a bus repeater.
