HL-RGBW-D22-PIX-5M is a 5 metre RGBW pixel tube, 22 mm in diameter, with a braided 360° sleeve. It runs on 12 V. It is the same tube as the 3 m roll.

The braid takes the scuffs of handling, uncoiling and fitting, so the wear is on the sleeve rather than the tube. The tube still bends, and the light is thrown all the way round.

Pixels

  • 50 pixels per metre, one LED per pixel
  • 250 pixels on this 5 m roll
  • Pixel pitch 20 mm. Cut only on the marked pixel point
  • Each pixel is addressed on its own

The control chip for this RGBW tube is being confirmed as WS2814 or SK6812. SPI controllers for RGBW addressable tubes are listed below, including an IP65 waterproof DMX-to-SPI decoder.

Power

About 40–45 W per metre with red, green, blue and white on together. That is a design figure for a suitable 12 V supply, with no voltage drop along the run. This 5 m roll is about 200–225 W at that figure. A 300 W waterproof 12 V driver covers that load. The 400 W waterproof driver leaves more headroom. Both are listed below.

The 3 m roll of this tube is HL-RGBW-D22-PIX-3M. The RGB version in 5 m is HL-RGB-D22-PIX-5M.
