The jacket is soft silicone, and the flex bends easily around a curve. It is supplied without double-sided tape. A bare back is the complete reel. Nothing has been left off.
If you still want tape, the 8 mm and 12 mm 3M Core Series rolls are listed with this product. We do not recommend them. Acrylic tape holds the wall and lets go of silicone. Adhesive on top of the tape does not repair that. The weak face is the tape against the silicone.
Bond this jacket with DOWSIL 7091, white, 310 ml. That sealant is made to wet silicone. Wipe the jacket and the surface with isopropyl alcohol, then lay one thin bead. Do not use another silicone. Bathroom sealant, CT1, Stixall, Gripfill and No More Nails do not hold this jacket.
The clear clips supplied with the reel are the mechanical fixing. Use them with the sealant on a ceiling, a long vertical run, or anywhere the flex may be pulled. A bonded length can still be taken down. The fitting steps are in how to mount a silicone sleeve.
A 5 metre reel of warm white COB neon flex for 24V DC. The light is a continuous line, with 320 LEDs in each metre, sealed in a flexible silicone jacket.
The colour is 3000K warm white. This reel is fitted with a low-voltage DC plug. A separate 24V constant-voltage driver is required, and it is not included.
The jacket is rated IP65, so the flex can be used where rain may reach it. It is not for continuous immersion. Power is 8 W per metre. Fed from one end, the full 5 metre reel draws 36 W. Allow at least 20% spare capacity on the 24 V driver above that load. The neon is 10 mm wide and 5 mm high. Cut only on the marked lines, every 5 cm. For a screw-fixed mount, use the 12 mm U-channel clip, sold separately.
