HL-EV1 is a 12–36 V constant-voltage power repeater for single-colour LED tape. One channel, 8 A (96–288 W). It copies the PWM dimming signal so you can add another run without overloading the dimmer. Not the 15 A 12–24 V HL-EV1-S.

HL-EV1 — 12–36 V 8 A constant-voltage power repeater

Use this when a single-colour dimmer is already at its amp limit and you still have more tape to run. EV1 takes the PWM signal from the dimmer and drives a second 8 A output from its own 12–36 V supply. Series or parallel: you can chain more repeaters. It is not a dimmer and it has no RF of its own.

It is the 8 A, 12–36 V sister of HL-EV1-S (that one is 15 A, 12–24 V, larger housing). Same job, different current and voltage window.

Why installers buy it

  • One channel, 8 A, 96–288 W depending on voltage. IP20, about 114 × 38 × 26 mm, 53 g.
  • PWM in, LED out, power in — each from its own terminals. Reverse-polarity and short-circuit protection.
  • Works with Hi-Line single-colour CV dimmers (V1-L, V1-F, V1-T, V1-K and similar).

What you are wiring

  • PWM signal + / − from the dimmer LED output (or the previous repeater)
  • Power in + / −, 12–36 V DC, same voltage as the tape, from a separate PSU sized for this run
  • LED out + / − to the extra tape
