This is the white glass panel version of our rotary push dimmer. It combines the familiar function of a traditional dimmer with a sleek modern glass finish. No neutral is required, making it straightforward to install in most UK backboxes and ideal for retrofits where only live wiring is available.
The dimmer supports up to 500W resistive loads, but for LED lighting the limit is strictly 80W because of the inrush currents generated by LED drivers and lamps. It can be used directly with one mains-dimmable LED driver such as the HL-TE-75-24 (75W), or with dimmable GU10 LED lamps, provided the total LED load does not exceed 80W.
For larger LED installations, this wall dimmer can be paired with our Hi-Line Surge Current Suppressor controllers, designed specifically for no-neutral dimmers. These controllers regulate and absorb the inrush surge that would otherwise overload the dimmer, allowing you to safely control multiple mains-dimmable LED drivers in parallel. In this setup, the dimmer only provides the control signal while the suppressor controller handles the heavy load, making it possible to expand well beyond the 80W LED limit.
This means you can begin with a single LED driver and expand up to a full multi-driver setup, while still using the same elegant wall dimmer as your control.
