This premium COB pixel-addressable LED strip is built with the WS2814 IC and represents the highest standard in COB pixel technology. Using high-end COB chips, it delivers vivid colours and bright illumination with seamless RGBW control, including Warm White at 3000K.
Each pixel is formed from 84 COB LEDs (21 Red, 21 Green, 21 Blue, 21 White) arranged across a 10cm section. This means one pixel equals 84 LEDs and 10cm in length. With 10 pixels per metre, the strip reaches 840 LEDs per metre in total. Per metre, this provides 210 Red LEDs, 210 Green LEDs, 210 Blue LEDs, and 210 White LEDs.
This density creates smooth and rich colours. COB technology is well known as dotless, seamless, and spotless, but it is important to understand how this applies in real use. When combining colours, hundreds of LEDs are illuminated per metre (for example, 500+ when RGBW channels are mixed), and the result is completely spotless. When a single colour channel is used alone, such as only Red, you will see the equivalent of 210 LEDs per metre, which is still smooth but may show minimal dotting, as expected from any high-density single-colour strip.
For comparison, our PWM-based COB strips (non-pixel, not SPI) feature 528 LEDs per metre, all of the same colour and lit simultaneously, which makes them the absolute best for 100% spotless single-colour applications. The HL-COB-P10-RGBW-2814-24V, however, combines COB’s smoothness with pixel addressability, offering installers both professional-grade seamless light and the creative control of SPI programming.
The strip is built on a white 12mm wide PCB and supplied as a 5m roll. Each roll is prepared with 15cm soldered cables at both ends, including three wires for the SPI signal system (Data, +24V, GND) and two extra feeds for power injection. This design allows power to be supplied from both ends of the strip, or at multiple points, ensuring stable performance over longer runs. For quick installation, the strip comes with 3M adhesive tape pre-applied on the back.
