This is an ultra-high brightness LED strip powered by high-quality SMD2835 LED chips which generate a brightness of 2640Lm/m. Please note that 1.2 meters of this LED strip has the same or even higher brightness than a 4ft fluorescent tube.
Excellent colour rendering index (CRI) – all LED chips reach a value of Ra >80.
The strip can be cut every 6 LEDs (5cm). The width of the LED tape is 12mm (PCB width is 10mm).
Note: While any type of LED strip will perform better when installed in a profile or on an aluminium flat bar, due to the nature of high-powered SMD2835 chips running warm at 19.2 watts per metre and above, we strongly suggest that you consider installing this LED strip on an aluminium bar at the very minimum, in order to ensure proper cooling and thus increasing its lifespan. Always consult with your installer, as it may come down to their discretion, depending on how cool and well-ventilated the area is. Don’t risk burning out any chips!
Fitted with an easy to install original 3M adhesive tape with excellent adhesion (identified by a red protective strip on the adhesive side)
IP68 Waterproof Protection is achieved with polyurethane and silicon, which is the most expensive and best method that can be used on LED strips. This waterproof protection is very durable and does not become "yellowish" as it happens with most LED strips within 3 months of installation. Moreover, the LED strip remains extremely flexible, very clear, soft and well-protected throughout its lifetime and can keep its IP68 rating for more than 5 years if installed properly. Please note that IP00 rated LED strips are recommended wherever rating is not required (e.g. in indoor spaces) as these are easier to handle and install.
All Hi-Line's IP68 strips can be used in steam rooms and saunas (LED drivers and controllers should be installed remotely).
The LED chip without the IP68 coating can operate at temperatures between -25 to 60 degrees Celsius. Using Hi-Line's special coating which also acts as a coolant for the LED chips can make the final end product to stand temperatures of up to 110 Celsius. For Sauna and steam room applications it is suggested to install IP68 LED strips on aluminium flat bar, LED profile or directly on concrete walls for additional cooling, this will prolong LED chip operating time and lumen-maintenance.
*Please note that the warranty offered for IP68 LED tape installed in Saunas, steam rooms or underwater is limited to one year.
The high quality of Hi-Line LED strip products ensures low decay, which increases the LED strip's lifespan and assures that the high level of the brightness is kept constant throughout the LED strip's life.
Please do NOT connect more than 5 meters of a LED strip in series. A LED strip of more than 5 meters in length is overloaded due to the increased amount of current passing through, resulting in the damage of the PCB and the failure of the LED strip. Thus, when installing 5 meters or more of this LED strip it is suggested to connect the strip directly to the LED controller or driver using a 2-core cable or to connect the strip to a power supply from both ends in parallel (ring) to avoid a voltage drop and a resulting slight brightness reduction from first to last LED.

The LED strip comes with a 15cm wire ending on each side of the strip roll. Therefore, no extra soldering is required if the roll should be cut into 2 different pieces (i.e. 3 meters + 2 meters).

All Hi-Line LED strips are dimmable. Please select a suitable PWM LED dimmer/controller to ensure the proper dimming of the LED strip.

Please be aware that dimming of LED strips can be achieved by using a non-dimmable driver in conjunction with an LED controller. In this scenario, brightness control (dimming) is managed through the LED controller, and a dimmable driver is not necessary. Alternatively, for single-colour LED strips, a dimmable driver can be used without the need for an LED controller.
