No 3M tape. This silicone sleeve is supplied without double-sided adhesive. A bare reel is not a missing part. Installers often want 3M because it is quick to fit. On this cover, acrylic tape sticks to the wall and lets go of the silicone, which is why the reel is supplied this way. If a red liner is still on the reel, peel it off. It is not the mount, and glue on that liner does not fix it. Mount the sleeve with DOWSIL 7091, white, 310 ml. The 45 g tube HL-706TM only seals a cut end and its cap. The high quality of Hi-Line LED strips ensures low decay, which increases the LED strip's lifespan and assures that a high level of the brightness is kept constant throughout the LED strip's life.
Please do NOT connect more than 10 meters of LED tape in series. An LED strip of more than 10 meters in length will overload, due to the increased amount of current passing through, resulting in the damage of the PCB and the failure of the LED strip. Thus, when 10 meters of LED strip is exceeded, it is suggested to connect both ends of the strip directly to the LED controller or driver using 2-core cable.
The LED strip comes with a 15cm wire ending on each side of the strip roll. Therefore, no extra soldering is required if the roll should be cut into 2 different pieces (i.e. 3 meters + 2 meters).
Please note that soldering is recommended for the connection of LED strips; solder-free connectors are not available for IP67 rated LED strips. If preferred IP00 connectors can be used after removing LED strip sleeve (FCP width for the strip is 8mm) but you must maintain IP rating for any connectors used (suggested is to use liquid electrical tape).
All Hi-Line LED strips are dimmable. Please select a suitable PWM LED dimmer/controller to ensure the proper dimming of the LED strip.
The strip can be cut every 6 LEDs (10cm). The width of the LED strip is 10mm.
