Inrush Current Considerations
At power-on, this driver can generate an inrush current typically between 110A and 150A, with potentially higher values under cold-start conditions. This behaviour is normal for high-power switch-mode drivers, but proper planning is essential. In larger installations, where multiple power supplies are switched on simultaneously, designers should implement sequencing or staged activation to avoid tripping breakers. This model is manufactured to a high standard and widely used in professional installations. It is not part of our Premium Series, which includes models with advanced IC components, higher power factor and ultra-low inrush. However, it offers excellent reliability and performance for most high-power lighting applications. Premium variants are available upon request for projects requiring elevated specifications.
Installation Notes
The driver includes two pre-connected output tails wired in parallel. If only one output is used, the second must be securely insulated. The total connected load must not exceed 500W, and we recommend allowing a 20 percent safety margin to ensure optimal performance. This driver is suitable for use with single-colour, RGB or RGBW LED strips when combined with the correct control equipment.
