V1-C 12-24V 20A 3-Button RF LED Strip Dimmer
The Hi-Line HL-V1-C is a 12–24 V DC, 20 A three-button + RF dimmer for single-colour LED strip. Brightness up / on-off / brightness down on the box, optional 2.4 GHz remotes, and an external push switch. PWM 500 Hz–16 kHz. Not 36/48 V — that is HL-V1-L or HL-V1-K. See the attached PDF for DIP settings and wiring.
HL-V1-C — 12–24 V 20 A three-button RF LED-strip dimmer
This is a 12–24 V DC, one-channel constant-voltage dimmer for single-colour LED strip. Three buttons on the lid set brightness without a remote. Pair a Hi-Line 2.4 GHz single-colour remote, or wire a momentary push switch, when the client wants handheld or wall control as well.
Why installers buy it
- Local control that does not depend on a phone, Wi-Fi or a lost handset. Up, on/off, down on the box.
- Same 2.4 GHz family as HL-V1-L / HL-R6 / HL-PK1, so you can add a remote or a second dimmer later. Up to ten remotes.
- High current for 12/24 V tape: 20 A at 500 Hz / 2 kHz (240 W @ 12 V, 480 W @ 24 V). Higher PWM derates — 15 A at 8 kHz, 12 A at 16 kHz.
- External push-dim on a momentary wall switch, including memory after power-cut.
- Over-heat, overload, short-circuit and reverse-polarity protection with automatic recovery.
How people control it
- Three buttons on the lid: brightness up, on/off, brightness down. Short press is 10 steps; long press (1–6 s) is smooth 256-level dimming.
- Hi-Line 2.4 GHz RF remotes (single-colour models, including the HL-PK1 wall panel). Match: hold brightness-up and brightness-down for 2 s, then the remote on/off or zone key. About 30 m in open space.
- Momentary push switch on the P+ / P− terminals: click on/off, double-click 10 % / 100 %, long press to dim. Memory after power failure. Several dimmers can share one switch (max 25, max 20 m of push cable).
Electrical — read before you order
- Input / output: 12–24 V DC, constant voltage, one channel
- Input current 20.5 A
- Output: 20 A @ 500 Hz / 2 kHz (240/480 W), 15 A @ 8 kHz (180/360 W), 12 A @ 16 kHz (144/288 W)
- The constant-voltage driver should be at least 1.2 times the strip wattage, or the light can shimmer at full load
- Terminals: LED −/+, power −/+, push. Conductor 0.5–2.0 mm². Tighten fully — loose terminals overheat at 20 A
- PWM DIP on the end: 500 Hz / 2 kHz / 8 kHz / 16 kHz. Higher PWM for camera work, at the cost of current
- IP20, indoor, dry location. Ta −30 °C to +55 °C, Tc max 85 °C
- Size about 100 × 46 × 38 mm (fixing centres 90 mm), about 81 g
- Keep ≥20 cm from the driver and from other RF units so the remote range does not collapse
What to put with it

Technical summary
- Functions: 3 buttons + 2.4 GHz RF + push-dim, 1 channel CV PWM
- Dimming: 4096 levels, 0–100 %, logarithmic
- PWM: 500 Hz / 2 kHz / 8 kHz / 16 kHz
- Protection: reverse, short, overload, over-heat (auto recovery)
- Marks: CE, RoHS
- Warranty: 5 years
Must be installed by a qualified person. Confirm strip voltage and wattage before first power-up. Reverse polarity is protected, but a short on an undersized driver will still trip the supply.
