Pre-Wired for IP-Rated Installation
Each roll comes pre-assembled with cables at both ends, allowing easy integration with IP-rated junction boxes. For waterproof extensions, use the IP68 3-pin connector and protection box – Reference: HL-3PMC-IP68-508 (searchable via the top bar of our website).
IP65 Silicone Coating
The entire strip is encapsulated in a clear, flexible silicone sleeve that delivers full IP65 protection. It does not affect the colour temperature. The coating is visually discreet and supports heat dissipation, helping to prolong the life of the LEDs. This is not a gel-filled or extrusion type but a uniform, factory-applied sleeve.
3M™ VHB™ Adhesive Backing
Fitted with genuine 3M™ VHB™ red liner tape for strong adhesion to flat aluminium surfaces and other smooth materials. No additional adhesive is required. Designed for long-term hold even under heat and humidity.
Installation Guidelines
Maximum power feed length is 5 metres in a single direction.
For longer runs, segments must be connected in parallel from the driver.
A central feed layout can support up to 10 metres — with 5 metres to the left and 5 metres to the right — without causing voltage drop.
Never run more than 5 metres from one end in a single feed.
Installation on an aluminium base or profile is recommended for cooling.
PWM-compatible dimmers or controllers must be used to ensure correct operation.

Driver Sizing and Load Planning
Always allow a 20% performance margin when selecting drivers. Refer to the compatible driver table lower down the page. Do not exceed 5 metres of strip per power output.

Accessory and Connector Note
If accessories such as strip connectors are needed, these are shown under the Related Products tab. They must only be used if the silicone sleeve is removed. After sleeve removal, any connection must be properly resealed to maintain IP65 protection. Use soldering for all permanent and long-run installations.
Larger Projects – Long Runs and Synchronous Control
For continuous lighting effects over extended lengths, such as a 100 metre run, divide the system into ten 10-metre sections.
Each section should have its own dedicated driver or controller.
Controllers can be paired to the same RF remote to operate all zones in sync.
Optional power amplifiers can be used where needed depending on system layout.
This setup creates a seamless lighting effect across the full length while maintaining safe current handling per segment.
