This professional DMX512 splitter is designed to deliver clean, stable and reliable signal distribution across a wide range of lighting installations. It accepts one DMX512 input and regenerates the data into four fully isolated outputs, ensuring strong communication even when cable runs are long, when older cabling is present or when several DMX branches are required.
The splitter reshapes, strengthens and amplifies the incoming signal before delivering it to each of the four outputs. This prevents flickering, intermittent data loss and unstable behaviour caused by voltage drop, reflections or cable degradation. Full electrical isolation between all outputs protects controllers, decoders and fixtures from grounding issues, wiring faults or interference affecting any individual branch.
A standard DMX512 line can support up to 32 fixtures. Each of the splitter’s four outputs operates as an independent DMX line, allowing up to 32 devices per output. Splitters may also be daisy-chained; up to 16 units can be linked in sequence. Each splitter rebuilds the DMX signal before passing it forward, ensuring stability over larger installations that require multiple safe, isolated branches.
DMX termination remains an essential part of every installation. Long or medium-length cable runs must always be terminated at the last fixture using a 120-ohm resistor between Data+ and Data–. Termination prevents reflections that can cause flicker or erratic behaviour. For very short runs, termination may still be recommended depending on the environment, but once the distance increases or multiple cables are joined, termination becomes a requirement. Plug-in terminators are available in both RJ45 and XLR formats and can be found under the Related Products tab for quick and simple installation.
The splitter operates from universal AC mains input (100–240V), suitable for both UK and international use. A power cable is supplied, but no UK plug is provided. This is intentional for professional environments where installers fit their preferred plug type or hard-wire the splitter into equipment racks or control systems.

DMX Capacity and Termination Information
Each output of this splitter supports up to 32 fixtures following the DMX512 standard. The splitter regenerates the DMX signal on each output, allowing stable operation even when using long cable runs or older cabling.
Up to 16 splitters can be daisy-chained. Each splitter rebuilds the signal, maintaining clean transmission throughout the installation. The device-per-line limit remains 32 fixtures per output of each splitter.
DMX lines must be terminated at the final fixture using a 120-ohm resistor across Data+ and Data–. Termination is essential for medium or long cable runs and recommended even for shorter runs if there are multiple joints or electrical noise.
